Colonel (Retired) Ted Spain is a native of Wendell, North Carolina and entered the Army as a Private First Class. He is an inductee into both the US Army Officer Candidate School Hall of Fame and the US Army Military Police Regimental Hall of Fame. Before joining the Army he was a police officer in Greenville, North Carolina.
In the Army he served in key leadership positions, culminating as Commander of the 18th Military Police Brigade during the ground war and first year of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is currently the Director of the Tactical Force Operations Division, at the Department of Energy and resides in Aiken,South Carolina.
Jesse Hughes served in the US Army Light Infantry until 2002. He has a BA in Economics and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He provides Strategy Consulting to commercial and federal clients. A Bears fan, he’s still willing to acknowledge that he has a softer side; that side which enjoys long walks on the beach at sunset.

Jocelyn Green is an award-winning author of multiple books, including Faith Deployed: Daily Encouragement for Military Wives, and Stories of Faith and Courage from the Home Front, which inspired her Civil War novels Wedded to War and Widow of Gettysburg.
She is also general editor of the newly released Military Wives’ New Testament with Psalms & Proverbs. Jocelyn lives in Cedar Falls, Iowa, with her incredibly supportive husband and two adorable children. Candace George Thompson’s book : “Still Having Fun, a Portrait of the Military Marriage of Rex and Bettie George, 1941– 2007” was awarded the 2013 Gold Medal for biography by the Military Writers’ Society of America.
The author resides in Chicago with her husband where she is both a corporate communications specialist and a regular contributor to writers’ groups and publications to which she is affiliated.
